Mechanical Design Engineer - Japanese Speaking

Overview

Mechanical Design Engineer role at the TICO Pune Development Center (forklift business). You will develop forklift frame, body, and cabin components and support the full design lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and release components for new forklift models and options.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and study files using CATIA.
• Manage engineering files in a PDM system.
• Validate designs using FEA software.
• Specify system parameters and design components for performance, durability, and regulatory needs.
• Participate in recurring design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams for manufacturability, cost, quality, and delivery.
• Create and manage engineering documents such as DFMEAs, BOMs, and engineering change instructions.

What you'll need

• 2–5 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Japanese language proficiency at least N3 (N2 is an added advantage).
• 3D CAD skills (CATIA preferred).
• PDM system experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient communication and documentation capabilities.
