Mechatronics Department Engineering Discipline Manager

Overview

Manage the Mechatronics discipline engineering activities within an entity, aligned to the Division Discipline Engineering Director.

What you'll do

• Execute the Mechatronics discipline budget within the entity, aligned with division budget allocation and priorities.
• Track and analyze budget performance across projects, identifying and addressing deviations.
• Lead Mechatronics quotations for projects and contribute to workload databases for product families and maturity levels.
• Manage Mechatronics investment budget and standardize investments per division agreements.
• Control monthly Mechatronics headcount (internal/external) and implement corrective actions for deviations.
• Ensure Mechatronics QCD management for designs, including quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Oversee implementation of standardized methodologies, best practices, and KPIs for the Mechatronics discipline.

What you'll need

• Mechatronics discipline leadership responsibilities are assigned across budgeting, resource management, and QCD.
• Ability to track and analyze budget and project performance within the entity.
• Experience supporting quotation and workload database contributions for relevant product families.
• Responsibility for skills assessments (CVM) and tailored training plans aligned to a division expertise roadmap.
• Capability to implement and manage QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) processes for rapid issue resolution.
• Developer and monitoring accountability for an entity efficiency plan for the Mechatronics discipline.
• Involvement in digital tool adoption (e.g., EDA, generative design, simulation, digital continuity).
