Overview
Senior Frontend Engineer for the Portworx UI team, building scalable React-based user experiences for a Kubernetes platform.
What you'll do
- Design and build production-quality single-page applications using React and TypeScript.
- Own features end to end from requirements and design through implementation, testing, release, and production support.
- Create reusable, accessible, responsive UI components with modern HTML/CSS and React patterns.
- Collaborate with UX, Product, and backend teams to deliver polished, production-ready features.
- Contribute to frontend architecture, API integration, performance, maintainability, and engineering best practices.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Cypress or similar frameworks.
- Diagnose complex frontend/test/environment issues and drive them to resolution with minimal oversight.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack software development.
- Strong proficiency with React and modern React practices including hooks, state management, and component architecture.
- Deep understanding of TypeScript/JavaScript, browser behavior, API integration, and frontend performance.
- Strong command of HTML5/CSS3, responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Hands-on experience with Cypress or a similar end-to-end testing framework plus unit/integration testing.
- Ability to design maintainable, testable solutions and independently debug complex issues.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Angular, TypeScript-based component architecture, and RxJS.
- Experience maintaining or integrating apps built with both React and Angular.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, containerized/cloud-native environments, or frontend deployment and observability.
- Familiarity with alternative testing frameworks, frontend test infrastructure, or Go and backend API development.
Details
- Location: Bangalore, India.
- Primarily in-office environment; expected to work from the office location unless on PTO, work travel, or approved leave.
