MI Solution Architect

Overview

Lead the solution architecture design within the Transformation Programme, working with the FFP Performance Management workstream under the guidance of the MI Product Owner to implement solution designs for the Finance function and the long-term technology delivery roadmap.

What you'll do

• Develop architecture solution designs to support the Performance Management workstream.
• Work closely with the MI Tech Product Owner, Solutions Analysts and members of other workstreams to align on architecture designs and application standardization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and analyze business needs from across the region, translating them into architecture solution designs for implementation.
• Drive the development of future-ready Finance data systems, emphasizing data process automation, scalability, application standardization and a single unified data source.
• Validate and test implemented solutions to ensure they conform to overall architecture designs and meet SLAs.
• Provide thought leadership and challenge proposed solutions within the Future Finance Programme (FFP).
• Work collaboratively with workstreams, Delivery Leads and Tech Product Owners to formulate solution design options and the long-term technology delivery roadmap.
• Understand Insurance Finance and Actuarial business requirements and analytic use cases, and translate them into architecture solution designs, with recommendations for target and transition states.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record as a Solution Architect with Finance and insurance domain experience.
• Bachelor's degree (2:1 honours or higher) or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, effective communication and problem-solving ability.
• Expertise in data architecture design, data governance and data enablement.
• Experience across data-related domains including cloud data platform architecture, data engineering and integration, data quality, master data management, and data governance and management.
• Deep technical skills in cloud-based architecture solution design and delivery on MS Azure and Databricks.
• Experience with data architecture, data engineering and integration in Insurance / Actuarial sectors, especially systems integration with third-party software.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD practices, master data management, and data governance.
• Technology delivery project management experience, especially legacy systems migration.
• Awareness of Insurance Finance and Actuarial data requirements.
• Relevant certifications in data architecture or related domains.

Nice to have

• Accreditation in MS Azure and Databricks.
• Project management qualification.
