Model-Based Design (MBD) Engineer – ECT

Overview

Design and verify model-based control and testing solutions using Simulink/Stateflow, and automate modeling workflows with MATLAB. Represent the team technically in international forums and collaborate with firmware and testing teams to integrate models.

What you'll do

• Translate high-level requirements into structured Simulink models using MAAB guidelines.
• Design and implement complex control logic using Stateflow and Simulink.
• Develop MATLAB M-scripts and tools to automate modeling tasks, data analysis, and report generation.
• Lead Model-Based Testing (MBT), including creating test sequences and achieving 100% MC/DC coverage.
• Present architectural decisions and technical progress in international forums as a subject matter expert.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless model integration and deployment.

What you'll need

• 1 to 5 years of experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
• Experience with Simulink Test Manager and Simulink Coverage.
• Knowledge of MATLAB M-scripting and object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Experience using Embedded C, Python, and micro-controller hardware architectures.
• BE/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech Electronics background.

Nice to have

• Understanding of thermodynamics (HVAC) and physical system modeling.
