Overview
Serve as a .NET Senior Engineer supporting real-time risk generation and PnL reporting for the Equities Live Risk / PnL & TradeFeeds team. Develop and maintain business-critical financial systems using .NET and related technologies in a globally distributed development environment.
What you'll do
- Maintain real-time risk generation and PnL reporting systems.
- Develop software for high-volume financial data processing, trading platforms, and financial systems.
- Write comprehensive unit tests utilizing frameworks like NUnit, xUnit, Shouldly, or equivalents.
- Conduct performance testing and profiling to ensure application robustness and scalability suited for high-volume financial data processing.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve code issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Work with development team members and other partners with minimal supervision.
- Take on assigned jobs and responsibilities as a team player and self-starter.
- Learn new skills quickly with little supervision while prioritizing detail.
- Manage work, time, and resources efficiently and effectively.
- Work under high-pressure situations and prioritize effectively in a highly dynamic work environment with a global focus.
- Use analytical, problem-solving, and program execution skills to address issues.

- Use application development procedures and concepts, along with basic knowledge of other technical areas, to identify and define necessary system enhancements.

What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computers, Information Technology, or Engineering.
- At least 8+ years in a developer role with experience on large and complex projects.
- Strong C# knowledge.
- Exposure to both .NET Framework 4.5.2+ and .NET 5+.
- Understanding of .NET performance analysis and optimization approaches.
- Familiarity with web technologies including OpenAI/Swagger, REST, Authentication, and TLS.
- Demonstrable experience or familiarity with high-volume, low-latency, highly available financial systems, trading platforms, or financial data processing.
- Broad technical experience with exposure to different languages such as Python, Java, and Bash, as well as operating systems such as Linux.
- Where deep exposure is not available, basic knowledge and willingness to grow.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git and GitLab/GitHub.
- Understanding of one or more messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Solace.
- Clear understanding of various design patterns and leveraging them to solve complex technical problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly with little supervision.
- Ability to work under high-pressure situations and prioritize effectively in a highly dynamic work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with program execution skills.
- Ability to understand the big picture and the context of problems before applying analytical skills.
