NetSuite Technical Consultant

Overview

NetSuite Technical Consultant role supporting configuration, development and delivery of NetSuite solutions, working from predefined designs within an India-based support team.

What you'll do

• Configure standard NetSuite features (forms, fields, records, workflows, roles).
• Develop SuiteScript (Client, User Event, SuiteLets, RestLets, Map/Reduce) using approved design patterns and code best practices.
• Create saved searches, reports, and dashboards.
• Perform data imports/exports using CSV tools.
• Execute assigned technical tasks from detailed design documents.
• Support implementation activities such as build, confirm and deploy.
• Assist with defect resolution and enhancement requests.
• Provide post-go-live support for assigned tickets.
• Execute unit and UAT test cases.
• Participate in UAT support and defect triage.
• Validate fixes and regression impacts.
• Maintain technical documentation for scripts, configurations, and integrations.
• Update deployments using Azure DevOps.
• Work closely with Level 2 consultants and functional consultants.
• Participate in code reviews as a learner.
• Actively pursue NetSuite certifications and skill development.
• Escalate complex issues promptly.

What you'll need

• Good understanding of the NetSuite ERP platform.
• Proficiency in SuiteScript for customization and extension.
• Good understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP, SFTP/Flat File), RESTlets, and other integration tools.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for SuiteScript development.
• 1-3 years' experience in ERP systems, software development, or technical consulting.
• Experience supporting implementations, enhancements, or application support in a supervised environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent documentation and knowledge-sharing abilities.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and industry awareness.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Nice to have

• Exposure to NetSuite through coursework, internships, or entry-level project work.
• Hands-on experience with at least one ERP or SaaS platform.
• Certification in NetSuite SuiteScript and Integrations.
