About the role
We're hiring a Network Engineer for a direct hire, full-time position in Mount Pleasant, SC (hybrid). You'll design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and advanced networking technologies. This is a hands-on role supporting critical network operations and incident resolution.
What you'll do
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, VLANs, and firewalls in production environments
- Manage and optimize Microsoft Azure networking components including VNETs, NSGs, Azure Firewall, UDR, VPN, and Load Balancing methods
- Administer Fortinet firewalls and/or Netscaler Load Balancers, ensuring security and performance
- Support and maintain LANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, and DHCP servers across the network
- Respond to network incidents using root cause analysis (RCA) techniques; manage service requests and perform troubleshooting under pressure
- Implement and manage fundamental networking protocols including TCP, OSPF, BGP, SD-WAN, STP, ARP, and Ethernet
What we're looking for
- 6–15 years of hands-on network engineering experience
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure networking (VNETs, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN, Load Balancing, Hub-Spoke Architecture, Monitor)
- Proven hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls or equivalent enterprise firewall platforms
- Proven hands-on experience with Netscaler Load Balancers or equivalent load-balancing solutions
- US Citizen or Green Card Holder (required)
- Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent industry/field experience demonstrating network engineering competency
Nice to have
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP)
- Juniper JNCIA certification
- Experience with Cisco Meraki or other cloud-managed networking platforms
- Familiarity with WAN optimization, SD-WAN, or network architecture design
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance frameworks
