Overview

As an NPM Purchasing EMEA Category Buyer – Infrastructure, you own global purchasing activities for your category, focusing on intralogistics, CAPEX projects, and related services.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end global category purchasing, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting.
• Prepare, execute, and finalize international negotiations with a value-creation focus (e.g., TCO).
• Drive cost optimization, bundling effects, make-or-buy decisions, and value engineering initiatives.
• Manage supplier performance, claims, and escalations with strategic relevance.
• Own the contract lifecycle and ensure compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
• Translate category strategies into actions, KPIs, and measurable results.
• Use data analytics and digital procurement tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.

What you'll need

• Several years of relevant professional experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a similar function.
• University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) or comparable qualification.
• Experience in CAPEX procurement, project-based sourcing, or technical purchasing is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent English and German skills (written and verbal).
• Experience with SAP (R/3 or S/4) and MS Office is preferred.
• A structured, independent, and results-oriented working style.
