Overview
Category Buyer responsible for global purchasing activities for EMEA, focused on intralogistics, CAPEX projects, and related services.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end global category purchasing, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting.
- Prepare, execute, and finalize international negotiations with value creation focus.
- Optimize costs through bundling effects, make-or-buy decisions, and value engineering initiatives.
- Manage supplier performance, claims, and escalations with strategic relevance.
- Own the contract lifecycle and ensure compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
- Translate category strategies into actions, KPIs, and measurable results.
- Use data analytics and digital procurement tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
What you'll need
- Several years of relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a similar function.
- University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) or comparable qualification.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in CAPEX procurement, project-based sourcing, or technical purchasing is a strong advantage.
- Experience with SAP (R/3 or S/4) and MS Office preferred.
- Excellent English and German skills (written and verbal).
