Operations Specialist - Client Reporting, AVP

Overview

Operations Specialist (AVP) in the Global Reporting & Performance Measurement department of DWS Group, responsible for the analysis, development and production of complex customer and ESG reports, and for handling client and internal inquiries.

What you'll do

• Record, feasibility-check, analyse and implement new reporting requirements.
• Support and represent the Client Reporting department in projects.
• Collaborate with front office areas on the further development of existing and new reports.
• Analyse and develop Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) reports.
• Handle inquiries and complaints from clients and internal departments.
• Perform data analysis for feasibility studies and functional specification of new reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal clients (e.g. front office) as a point of contact within the operations function team, especially for time-sensitive or complex tasks.

What you'll need

• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel VBA.
• Strong knowledge of Python.
• Proficiency in SQL and mastery of data structures.
• Exposure to investment reporting/banking (finance) background.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• High level of initiative, independent and structured working style.
• Good understanding of process SLAs/KPIs and experience in stakeholder handling.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to analyse data to determine root cause of problems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take ownership, prioritise work and manage time effectively.
• Sound MS Office skills, in particular MS Excel and Access.
• Result-oriented, able to motivate team members, retain top talent and develop them.
• Team player with flexibility in working hours.
• Excellent team skills and social competence.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Asset Management Operations.
• Knowledge and usage of applications such as Aladdin and Bloomberg.
• Accounting/finance knowledge.
• Comprehensive expertise in securities and derivatives, and solid knowledge of risk and performance metrics.
