Oracle Database Developer

Overview

Oracle Database Developer role within Citi's Global Capital Markets Operation Technology group, participating in end-to-end development of a database application and contributing to the refactoring and upkeep of existing applications.

What you'll do

• Participate with development teams and stakeholders to ideate solutions
• Contribute to design of client-side and server-side architecture
• Write efficient, scalable and maintainable code by following best practices
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Ensure the design and code is secure
• Build features and applications with a responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Take part in the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment, and in the upkeep and improvement of existing applications

What you'll need

• Proven experience as a 7–10-year Database developer or similar role
• Hands-on experience of Oracle, PL/SQL, Unix Scripting
• Experience developing desktop, web and mobile applications
• Familiarity with common stacks
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, MongoDB) and web servers (e.g. Apache)
• Experience in application build and deployment process
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology or any relevant field

Nice to have

• Experience with Python
• Familiarity with Agile
