Overview
Lead the deployment, operation, automation, and continuous enhancement of the organization's enterprise password management platform, such as Bitwarden. Take end-to-end ownership of platform delivery and drive secure operational excellence through automation and innovation.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the enterprise password management platform, including architecture, deployment, operations, maintenance, upgrades, and support.
- Deploy, configure, and manage password vault infrastructure within an air-gapped AWS cloud landing zone.
- Ensure platform availability, scalability, reliability, and security in accordance with organizational policies and standards.
- Design, build, and maintain automated deployment and operational workflows.
- Develop Python-based automation for platform management, provisioning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure and repeatable software releases.
- Use Docker containerization to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.
- Drive infrastructure automation and operational excellence through continuous improvement.
- Evaluate emerging password management, secrets management, and vault capabilities.
- Lead the assessment, testing, and productization of new features and services to improve the end-user experience.
- Partner with security, infrastructure, and application teams to enable successful adoption of platform enhancements.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and prioritize deliverables.
- Translate business needs into scalable and secure technical implementations.
- Provide regular platform status updates, roadmap recommendations, and operational reporting.
- Manage end-user onboarding and offboarding for the password management platform.
- Provide L3 operational support and resolution for platform incidents and service requests.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements, audit expectations, and organizational standards.
What you'll need
- 12 to 15 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, cloud engineering, security engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise password management, secrets management, or privileged access management (PAM) solutions.
- Strong expertise in deploying and managing applications in AWS cloud environments, including air-gapped or highly restricted network architectures.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and automation development.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of Docker containerization technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deployment automation frameworks.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and operational support capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to engage technical and business stakeholders and translate requirements into deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
Nice to have
- Experience working in highly regulated, isolated, or air-gapped cloud environments.
- Experience with enterprise-grade password vaulting, secrets management, or PAM solutions.
- Knowledge of AWS security services and cloud-native security architectures.
- Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent IaC tools.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure software delivery pipelines.
- Relevant AWS certifications are desirable.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale identity, authentication, and access management ecosystems.
