Senior Lead AI Engineer

Overview

Lead the development of applied AI solutions, including generative AI and agentic workflows, from experimentation through production. Build systems that deliver measurable value across business units and demonstrate progress to stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Lead AI feature development from research and prototyping through production and continuous improvement.
• Develop AI applications and pipelines using text, vision, and structured data.
• Prototype AI concepts and demonstrate incremental results to stakeholders.
• Build and integrate reliable front-end and back-end services with enterprise systems.
• Implement experiment tracking, model versioning, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, research, and domain teams to identify use cases and quantify ROI.

What you'll need

• Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language.
• Advanced Python skills for AI applications, data pipelines, and backend services.
• Experience with frontier models such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, or Mistral.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and GPU-accelerated environments.
• Understanding of an RDBMS such as PostgreSQL and vector databases.
• Proven experience taking prototypes to production with maintainability and observability.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or master's degree with 6–9 years of experience building LLM-centric agents, enterprise copilots, or RAG applications.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or emerging frameworks.
• Experience with LLM evaluation and value benchmarking.
• Experience in aerospace, autonomous systems, or engineering analytics.
• Portfolio of deployed AI projects or open-source contributions.
• Knowledge of computer vision and natural language processing.
