Payment Analyst

Overview

Payment Analyst role in ABB's Finance Services Accounts Payable division in Bangalore, India, handling accounts payable inquiries and vendor payments through email and ServiceNow.

What you'll do

• Participate in initiatives and projects to continuously improve financial accounting and reporting processes within Accounts Payable.
• Process vendor payments, ensuring accurate tracking and processing.
• Perform necessary activities, including vendor payments, within the accounts payable area to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Execute analysis and reports as assigned and take appropriate action as necessary.
• Comply with and help achieve internal control over financial reporting compliance in accounts payable for applicable templates.
• Maintain end-to-end knowledge of the payment team CARS and provide walkthroughs to auditors.
• Work on payment reports by initiating payments in SAP using F110.
• Format Excel sheets and share reports with business users.
• Handle email queries and work with business users over calls to resolve payment-related queries.
• Participate in internal control testing and prepare relevant documentation.
• Ensure relevant stakeholders are aware of progress and/or issues to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Check invoices to verify they comply with fiscal and internal control requirements.
• Organize and coordinate tasks, projects or programs in support of a process or internal team.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Freshers with post-graduation or 0 - 1 years of experience with a Degree in Commerce background.
• Good communication skills.

Nice to have

• SAP knowledge in Accounts Payable and vendor payments domain.
