PB TOM (6B)-SAP Developer, AVP

Overview

Deutsche Bank is seeking an SAP Developer at AVP level to deliver SAP development and support activities across the software development lifecycle. The role focuses on SAP ABAP development, testing, production support, defect resolution and stakeholder collaboration.

What you'll do

• Analyze requirements, develop, deploy and test deliverables across the whole Software Development Lifecycle.
• Perform development and unit-testing activities, including peer code reviews.
• Provide high-quality solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in discussions on new requirements and process improvements with stakeholders.
• Ensure the smooth transition of applications into production.
• Act as Developer and SME and provide L2 support for production bug fixes.
• Discuss infrastructure changes with architects and choose the best solution where applicable.
• Understand, challenge, capture and articulate requirements according to quality standards.
• Understand delivery priorities agreed with business, management and other stakeholders.
• Support preparation, prerequisites and feasibility studies for business cases outlining value drivers of proposed solutions.
• Identify system defects and proactively recommend and fix solutions or resolutions.
• Collaborate with BFA, Project Managers, users and architects to deliver robust solutions.
• Work with global and local teams and manage vendors and/or third parties.
• Manage unexpected events using problem-solving ability.
• Deliver artefacts including high-level and low-level designs and estimates.
• Conceptualize complex process flows and business flows.
• Create user stories where applicable.
• Handle multiple simultaneous projects and meet timelines.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in an IT-related discipline, or equivalent.
• At least 9+ years of experience in a role for SAP Developer.
• Development experience with SAP ABAP, ABAP OO and SAP HANA.
• Working experience in SAP Deposits Management or SAP Banking, SAP FS-BP Business Partner or SAP BA Bank Analyzer.
• Exposure to handling production errors, bug fixes or incidents.
• Experience with SAP Integration design and implementation of SAP Enterprise Services.
• Experience in stakeholder management with business units/users, infrastructure teams, audit, management, DEV/Testing teams.
• Experience working with agile/waterfall models.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ServiceNow and Confluence.
• Excellent communication, strong coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and passion for driving solutions.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Ability to challenge, convince and adopt an approach if required.
• Good team player over different geographies.
