PBAC Operations Engineer - RDT Identity & Access Management

Overview

PBAC Operations Engineer in Roche Digital Technology’s Identity & Access Management (IAM) team, owning and operating the Policy Based Access Control (PBAC) infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Architect and maintain core PBAC components (PDP/PEP) for high availability and performance.
• Lead PBAC implementations from initial use cases to enterprise-wide adoption and standards.
• Integrate systems using RESTful APIs, SQL/JDBC, and LDAP as a technical consultant.
• Design automated Policy as Code (PaC) pipelines for versioning, testing, and deployment.
• Manage platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, security patching, and performance tuning.
• Streamline onboarding for new assets aligned with security standards, ITIL change principles, and GDPR.

What you'll need

• 5–9 years of experience in IT/Security.
• 4+ years dedicated to IAM with specific expertise in PBAC/ABAC in large enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• Advanced knowledge of XACML and Policy as Code (PaC), plus IAM protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SSO, IGA).
• Proficiency in Java or Python for custom integrations.
• Hands-on experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
