Performance Engineer - Software Engineering SMTS

Overview

Senior Member of Technical Staff (Performance Engineering - Marketing Technology) for Salesforce’s Digital Marketing Technology team.

What you'll do

• Build tools and services to improve scalability, performance, reuse, and adoption for the digital experience stack.
• Create and own a performance framework through automated enhancements and best-practice sharing.
• Develop self-service tools to enhance application performance and developer productivity.
• Investigate new technologies to support near-future system direction for faster development and deployment.
• Develop proof-of-concepts to demonstrate viability of new ideas and technologies.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of experience in software development with understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle.
• Extensive experience with performance testing tools including Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Artillery, Puppeteer, Cucumber (or others).
• Strong programming/scripting skills in one of Ruby, Java, Go, or Python.
• Knowledge of web technologies and protocols (HTTP/HTTPS) and web servers (Apache, Nginx).
• Experience working in Agile environments and understanding DevOps practices for CI/CD and performance monitoring.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
