Plastics Procurement Specialist

Overview

Manage sourcing and procurement for plastic materials and molded components, working with category leadership to coordinate suppliers, execute procurement activities, and track performance against cost, quality, and delivery goals.

What you'll do

• Execute end-to-end procurement for thermoset and thermoplastic materials, including RFQs, supplier communications, purchase orders, and delivery issue resolution aligned with sourcing strategies.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and risk, coordinating with Quality and Engineering to resolve operational issues and maintain accurate supplier and order data.
• Maintain, report and analyze procurement data using Excel, SAP, Power BI, PowerPoint and KPI dashboards to track delivery performance, spend, order fulfillment, and support cost and supplier evaluations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Manufacturing while ensuring compliance with ABB procurement policies, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 3 or more years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Must already have work authorization that would permit working for ABB in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience within a manufacturing background.
• Experience working with plastics materials or molded components.
• Familiarity with SAP and Power BI.
