Platforms-API Software Engineer - BA4

Overview

Design, develop, support and enhance enterprise API and integration solutions that enable critical business capabilities, combining software engineering, API management, middleware development, platform reliability, observability and operational support across cloud and on-premise environments.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, deploy and support enterprise integration solutions using TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.x, TIBCO BusinessWorks 6.x and TIBCO BusinessWorks Container Edition (BWCE).
• Develop, secure, publish and manage APIs using Apigee Edge (Google Cloud Platform).
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices and integration services aligned to enterprise standards.
• Develop solutions using Core Java, Python and JavaScript to support integration, automation and serverless processing requirements.
• Design and implement messaging and event-driven integrations using TIBCO EMS and IBM MQ.
• Build, deploy and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provide L2/L3 support for APIs, middleware, integration platforms and production applications, ensuring timely incident resolution and service restoration.
• Drive platform reliability through proactive monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.
• Implement observability best practices using Datadog, including dashboards, alerts, distributed tracing, log monitoring and performance analysis.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and support certificate lifecycle activities including issuance, renewal, rotation and troubleshooting across APIs, middleware and platform components.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, build automation and release management processes using Maven and DevOps best practices.
• Perform application performance tuning, capacity planning and resiliency improvements.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure and architecture teams to ensure compliance with organizational standards and security requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using Cucumber and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
• Participate in on-call support, major incident management and production readiness activities.
• Develop code that is scalable, maintainable and optimized for performance, and adhere to secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and implement effective unit testing practices.

What you'll need

• Experience with TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.x, 6.x and BusinessWorks Container Edition (BWCE).
• Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns, SOAP and REST-based services, and XML, XSD, JSON, XPATH and XSLT.
• Experience with Apigee Edge (Google Cloud) and REST API design and development.
• Knowledge of API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, mTLS), API lifecycle management and OpenAPI / Swagger.
• Experience with Core Java, Python, JavaScript and Shell scripting.
• Experience with TIBCO EMS and IBM MQ, asynchronous messaging, publish/subscribe architecture and event-driven design patterns.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration, deployments, services, ingress, ConfigMaps, secrets and containerized application troubleshooting.
• Experience with Datadog, including APM, log management and analysis, distributed tracing, dashboard and alert configuration, and production monitoring and incident response.
• Experience with Maven, CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated build and deployment processes, release and environment management, and GitLab.
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate management, PKI concepts, keystore and truststore management, and certificate renewal and rotation.
• In-depth technical knowledge and experience in Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Shell script, Datadog, Python, API, Docker, containers, ECR, EKS and GitLab.
• Experience with Cucumber and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
