Job description

Overview

Develop backend platform software and automation services that support VM infrastructure automation, CI/CD execution, smoke and integration testing, regression, and continuous integration for engineering workflows. The role focuses on Python and C# development, Windows platform engineering, Jenkins automation, and operational reliability.

What you'll do

  • Develop backend automation services in Python and C# for process execution, file operations, health checks, and environment management.
  • Establish reliability practices including logging and monitoring, retries and backoff, idempotency, concurrency controls, safe cleanup, and traceability.
  • Use Windows platform knowledge, including Event Logs, Registry, and services, to diagnose and resolve complex automation and CI issues.
  • Support incident response and hands-on troubleshooting to reduce downtime and improve resilience.
  • Guide test execution optimization, including incremental testing, to improve CI cycle time and stability.
  • Influence technical design and architecture.
  • Maintain clear runbooks and documentation for operational readiness.

What you'll need

  • 4 – 6 years of experience as an experienced senior developer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and C# in complex, production-grade engineering environments.
  • TypeScript / Node.js exposure for tooling, services, or automation utilities.
  • Strong Windows automation and troubleshooting skills using PowerShell and BATCH scripting.
  • Deep knowledge of Windows internals, including Event Log, Registry, and services.
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, such as MariaDB and MongoDB.
  • A practical troubleshooting mindset and comfort handling ad-hoc firefighting / incident response scenarios.
  • Working knowledge of software design and architecture fundamentals and testing concepts, including incremental testing approaches.
  • Exposure to .NET build/test workflows to support cross-team collaboration.
  • BTech degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Go and/or PHP in platform or automation contexts.
  • Familiarity with artifact publishing and release governance practices, such as JFrog CLI and promotion patterns.
  • Own Jenkins automation at scale using Groovy pipelines and shared libraries, improving reliability through standards, guardrails, and reusable patterns.
  • Proficiency in OpenStack services such as Nova (compute), Neutron (networking), and Cinder (storage).
  • Experience operating in regulated or security-focused environments requiring auditability and traceability.

Details

  • Location: Bangalore, India.
  • Work schedule: First Shift (Days).
  • Work environment: Office.
