Overview
As a Product Software Engineer II, you will architect, design, write, and test code for new features across an application portfolio using Salesforce CRM Analytics, scripting, DevOps, and data persistence skills. You will contribute to application architecture, code quality, scalable web applications, and solutions aligned with user and business needs.
What you'll do
- Deliver software projects on time and with high quality, providing domain expertise and innovative solutions to complex business problems.
- Collaborate with leads and influence robust, scalable, fault-tolerant, secure, and cloud-native software architectures.
- Design and implement Salesforce CRM Analytics solutions.
- Reason logically and creatively to identify problems, draw conclusions from available data, and develop effective solutions for high-performing web applications.
- Collaborate with leads to keep the team’s technology radar and architecture principles aligned with industry developments and user needs.
- Stay up to date on software development technologies and trends.
- Contribute to code reviews and ensure code meets quality standards.
- Deliver multiple projects using an Agile methodology.
- Take a high-ownership, self-sufficient, hands-on position to contribute to quality and maintain application stability.
- Write complex programs, analyze code changes, and suggest improvements.
- Check in valuable, clean, well-documented code daily that adds features and capabilities.
- Create reference implementations to mentor and lead more junior staff when required.
- Help define engineering standards and provide technical mentorship to the team.
- Investigate and resolve production issues from the user interface to the persistence layer and work to prevent them.
- Work with product managers to ensure project deliverables are on time and high quality.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align software solutions with business goals.
What you'll need
- 2+ years of experience in web application development or software engineering in a large enterprise environment using Salesforce and the CRM Analytics platform.
- Salesforce Certifications.
- Significant experience working with relational databases, SQL, newer NoSQL data stores, and event streaming platforms such as Snowflake and Kafka.
- A strong interest in open source technology.
- Good communication skills and an interest in mentoring and helping others succeed as a team.
- Care about your craft and have opinions about the “right” way to do things with technology.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or another technical field.
Nice to have
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Previous work experience in Ad Platforms, Accounts Receivable, and/or financial applications.
- Experience working with vendor teams to deliver high-quality results.
- Knowledge of AWS managed services, performance testing, and application profiling.
- Strong curiosity about how Disney delivers the Magic and a desire to be a part of it.
