Overview
Post-Si Debug Validation Engineer for Oryon Custom CPU-based products, focusing on post-silicon validation and customer issue root-cause analysis.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end debug and resolution of customer issues including CPU crashes, hangs, watchdog resets, performance issues, power abnormalities, boot failures, and silicon marginalities.
- Root-cause complex functional and microarchitectural issues using silicon traces, scan dumps, ETM/PTM, and debug infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CPU Architecture, RTL, Design Verification, Physical Design, DFT, Firmware, SoC) to drive issues to closure.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, firmware, and electrical issues such as signal integrity, boot failures, or interface bugs.
- Support quality for next-generation flagship mobile processors.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or related) with 3+ years of hardware engineering experience, OR Master’s with 2+ years, OR PhD with 1+ year.
- CPU microarchitecture and ARM architecture fundamentals.
- Post-silicon validation, debug, or silicon bring-up experience.
- Understanding of SoC architecture, interconnects, memory subsystems, and multi-core CPU systems.
- Experience with pipeline, cache, memory subsystem, coherency, and exception/debug flows.
- Assembly, C/C++, Python, and automation experience.
