Power System Engineer II

Overview

Power System Engineer II responsible for developing, configuring, testing, maintaining, and supporting power systems applications for electric utility projects.

What you'll do

• Extract GIS data and build distribution network models.
• Integrate CIS data with the Outage Management System.
• Design and tune power systems applications for customer requirements.
• Develop implementation plans from customer requirements.
• Create product documentation, test plans, and test procedures.
• Perform unit, Factory Acceptance, and Site Acceptance testing.
• Provide application support, technical reviews, training, and end-user support.

What you'll need

• Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Have 3 to 4 years of experience with SCADA, DMS, or OMS software applications.
• Have experience with GIS and electrical network tools and models.
• Have electric utilities project execution experience.
• Know databases and data warehousing at a basic level.
• Have strong Python or JSON scripting knowledge.
• Have a strong software engineering background and presentation skills.
