Overview
Senior Substation Primary Engineer for HV/MV substation primary engineering, design drawings, and calculation reports.
What you'll do
- Prepare and review HV substation primary design drawings and documents.
- Create single line diagrams, equipment layout plans, and section drawings for GIS buildings and transformer areas.
- Prepare cable raceway layout plans and sections for 220/132kV and 33/11kV GIS buildings, transformer area, bus & line reactor area, and gantry area.
- Perform power system analysis including short circuit, load flow, harmonics, and motor starting.
- Conduct HV & MV cable ampacity and heat dissipation sizing calculations.
- Perform insulation coordination calculations and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Coordinate and deliver substation primary system designs in compliance with SEC, NG, and relevant authority standards.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of relevant experience in SEC HV & EHV substation projects.
- Strong background in substation primary engineering on SLD, arrangements, layouts, and sections.
- Experience covering HV GIS switchgear, MV switchgear, power transformer, station service transformer, capacitor bank, and reactor.
- Ability to prepare substation primary design drawings and calculation reports in accordance with TES-P-119.
- Experience preparing technical reports, specifications, tender documents, and proposals for substation and distribution projects.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership plus knowledge sharing within the team.
