Principal Application Engineer

Overview

Lead customer success for strategic accounts using engineering software and CAE solutions. Drive adoption, value realization, retention, and account growth through technical and executive stakeholder engagement.

What you'll do

• Drive product adoption and customer business and engineering outcomes.
• Build relationships with technical, management, and executive stakeholders.
• Monitor customer health, adoption trends, and sentiment.
• Develop recovery plans and support customer retention.
• Coordinate Sales, Application Engineering, Support, Product Management, Professional Services, and Marketing activities.
• Lead customer governance discussions and executive business reviews.
• Develop customer champions for references, events, and case studies.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in customer success, technical account management, business development, application engineering, technical consulting, pre-sales, or account management.
• Experience in engineering software, CAE, simulation, PLM, CAD, or related technology industries.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, or related engineering.
• Experience managing strategic customer relationships and adoption programs.
• Executive communication and presentation skills.
• Strategic account planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to use CRM and customer success platforms such as Salesforce and Gainsight.
