Principal Architect | Agentic AI

Overview

Principal Architect in the Enterprise Architecture team, defining architecture for key components and capabilities across NIQ platforms and leading responsible adoption of AI, Generative AI, and agentic AI.

What you'll do

• Lead architecture designs for key products and capabilities across NIQ platforms with product stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Define high-level solution approaches and blueprints for component design while maintaining end-to-end platform integration.
• Create and promote reference architectures, principles, standards, patterns, and decision records for key platform areas.
• Shape enterprise architecture for AI/Generative/agentic AI including model integration, RAG, orchestration, tool/API use, memory, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Define reusable patterns for secure and scalable AI agents including identity/access control, grounding, context, guardrails, evaluation, observability, auditability, failure handling, and cost management.
• Partner with security, privacy, legal, data governance, and Responsible AI stakeholders for confidentiality, IP, regulatory compliance, transparency, and risk management.
• Drive innovation via proofs of concept, technology migrations, controlled pilots, and productionization.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in application development, solution design, or software architecture.
• Experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, highly available, observable distributed systems in production.
• Strong enterprise data architecture and data modeling experience across relational and non-relational stores.
• Experience with Azure AI services, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or comparable enterprise AI platforms.
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and interoperability standards such as semantic orchestration frameworks, multi-agent frameworks, and Model Context Protocol.
• Experience defining Responsible AI governance and AI risk controls including threat modelling and red-teaming.
• Practical experience architecting or delivering AI/Generative AI solutions in production with LLMs, embeddings, vector search, RAG, and model evaluation.
