Principal Cyber Security Architect (Remote Eligible, U.S.)

Overview

Lead product cybersecurity architecture and assessments for GE Vernova’s wind portfolio, covering wind turbines, SCADA systems, software, and digital services.

What you'll do

• Lead cybersecurity assessments of wind turbine components, SCADA systems, software, and digital platforms.
• Apply IEC 62443 security controls across requirements, design, development, and validation.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for products and features.
• Document vulnerabilities, risks, and non-conformities and recommend remediation.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, project, services, and R&D teams on security by design.
• Develop technologies, processes, guidelines, and hardening guides for product security assessments.
• Provide technical guidance for customer inquiries and product vulnerability response.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of relevant cybersecurity or operational technology experience.
• At least 8 years of operational technology or product cybersecurity experience.
• Knowledge of network cybersecurity practices and industrial technologies and protocols.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Nice to have

• At least 4 years working with product security requirements, regulations, or standards.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with wind turbines, SCADA security, cloud security, secure coding, or OT penetration testing.
• Cybersecurity certification such as GICSP, CEH, CCNA, or CISSP.

Details

• Fully remote within the United States.
• Travel up to 10%, or up to 20% outside the Greenville, South Carolina or Schenectady, New York areas.
• Pay range: $131,700–$219,300 per year.
