Overview
Principal Data Engineer to design, build, optimize, and operate the Data Hub’s core cloud-native data platform capabilities, while influencing platform architecture, governance, and engineering standards.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, reliable cloud-native data platform infrastructure.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines with deployment automation and environment management.
- Improve platform observability using monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance tracking.
- Design scalable data models for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases while aligning solutions to governance and regulatory requirements.
- Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines across business domains.
- Drive DevOps and engineering excellence through automation, code quality practices, and release management.
- Lead performance bottleneck resolution and root-cause analysis for production incidents.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with data warehousing, orchestration, transformation, and DevOps technologies.
- Experience building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and data models.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles, infrastructure automation, and production operations.
- Experience operating in highly regulated, compliance-sensitive, or enterprise environments.
- Proven track record of leading technical initiatives through influence rather than direct authority.
