Principal Designer

Overview

Principal Designer role at KBR, reporting to the Chief Technical Professional Leader, focused on drawings and technical documentation for proprietary equipment and new products in refinery, fertilizer and petrochemical applications.

What you'll do

• Prepare general assembly and detailed engineering drawings for proprietary equipment for refinery, fertilizer and petrochemical applications.
• Prepare technical requisitions for quotation and procurement of critical equipment for refinery, fertilizer and petrochemical applications.
• Develop drawings for new products, including KSAAT modularization, Ecoplanning support, glass lined equipment, etc.
• Develop 3-D models for new products for site visualization and clarity on construction.
• Prepare assembly and manufacturing sequences for new products.
• Manage key business relationships within KBR offices.

What you'll need

• Diploma in engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience, preferably in an equipment manufacturing industry.
• Exposure to design, drafting and detailed engineering of pressure vessels and heat exchangers for process or similar industries.
• Good knowledge of drafting / modelling software.
• Capable of reviewing manufacturing drawings.
• Good communication skills with sound written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of ASME Sec VIII Div 1 and Sec II A.
• Knowledge of KBR proprietary equipment.
