Principal Discipline Engineer

Overview

Principal Discipline Engineer for Valeo’s CyberSecurity work in automotive embedded systems. You will lead cybersecurity lifecycle, requirements, architecture inputs, planning, reviews, and security work product validation.

What you'll do

• Ensure the CyberSecurity product lifecycle process (CSMS) complies with UNECE WP29 R155 and ISO/SAE 21434.
• Drive cybersecurity design and process implementation across multiple disciplines (System, Hardware, Software, production).
• Elicit and align cybersecurity requirements with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Develop ADAS product cybersecurity system/architecture requirements with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain the cybersecurity development plan and track/monitor progress through R&D development.
• Coordinate cyber security engineer activities (plan, track, review, approve) using the defined methodology and working packages.
• Plan internal cybersecurity reviews and formal reviews with the Functional CyberSecurity Assessor (FSeA).

What you'll need

• 10–13 years of relevant experience in automotive embedded cybersecurity.
• Strong experience in TARA (Threat and Risk Analysis).
• Good understanding of ISO 21434.
• Experience in security controls for embedded systems (e.g., secure boot, update, diagnostic) and security microcontrollers/OS.
• Security testing experience.
• Domain knowledge in automotive industry, including embedded SW and system development.
• Education: B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME in Electronics and communications, Cybersecurity engineering, or Automotive engineering.
