Principal Engineer - AI Engineering

Overview

Work on prompt engineering for LLMs to support internal and external software needs, including building frameworks to improve reuse and sharing across use cases.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with domain experts to translate business needs into LLM prompts.
• Develop, test, and refine prompts for multiple use cases to improve output accuracy.
• Work with software developers to integrate LLM solutions into applications.
• Help build a scalable prompt-engineering framework for reuse and knowledge sharing.
• Gather and analyze user feedback to improve prompt effectiveness over time.
• Document prompt processes, best practices, and outcomes to create a knowledge base.
• Stay current with LLM advancements to inform tool and platform selection.

What you'll need

• Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with prompt engineering and familiarity with OpenAI GPT models and Hugging Face.
• Proficiency in Python or other programming languages used in AI/ML development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 2 weeks per year.
