Principal Security Engineer

Overview

Principal Security Engineer responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure systems across cloud and modern application stacks, including AI security.

What you'll do

• Design and implement secure architectures for applications, APIs, microservices, and containerized workloads.
• Develop and enforce application security best practices across the SDLC and integrate security into CI/CD.
• Conduct threat modeling, security design reviews, and risk assessments for systems.
• Evaluate and implement security tools, controls, and frameworks.
• Lead response to complex security incidents with root cause analysis and remediation recommendations.
• Own the AI security program, including risk frameworks, threat models, and governance policies.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in security engineering or architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience in secure software development and application security (e.g., OWASP Top 10, SAST, DAST, threat modeling).
• Experience designing zero-trust architectures, secure API gateways, and identity/access controls.
• Proficiency in scripting/development languages (e.g., Python, Go, JavaScript) and secure coding practices.
• Hands-on experience assessing AI/ML security risks, including familiarity with OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, or NIST AI RMF.
