Principal Software Engineer (React)

Overview

Lead the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of scalable React-based frontend systems serving millions of users. The role owns critical production systems, mentors engineers, and drives cross-team technical initiatives.

What you'll do

• Define frontend technical vision, architecture, and long-term roadmaps.
• Lead scalable, high-performance web application development.
• Conduct architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical deep dives.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Own production systems, observability, security, and reliability.
• Drive initiatives for technical debt reduction, CI/CD improvement, and code quality.
• Partner with product, design, engineering, and leadership stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of frontend or full-stack development experience.
• At least 2 years in a principal, staff, or equivalent technical leadership role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Experience with frontend architecture, performance optimization, accessibility, and system reliability.
• Experience with testing, CI/CD, REST, GraphQL, Git workflows, and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Ability to lead large-scale initiatives, influence stakeholders, and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Node.js, Python, and OCI cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with micro-frontends, Module Federation, and design systems.
• Experience evaluating AI-powered developer tools.
