Principal Specialist, Software Developer - Java , Springboot

Overview

Hybrid role for a Java & Angular full-stack developer in Pratt & Whitney’s Digital Aftermarket Services team, supporting DW2W2C software solutions and integrations.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and external/enterprise system integrations.
• Build backend components using Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and SQL/ORM frameworks.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and perform root-cause analysis and debugging with production support.
• Work with Angular teams for API integration and end-to-end application delivery.
• Participate in Agile activities including sprint planning, estimation, and reviews.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with 7+ years of hands-on experience or a Master’s with 5+ years of technical experience.
• Java 8/11/17+ experience.
• Spring Boot and Spring MVC experience.
• REST API and microservices architecture experience.
• Hibernate/JPA with SQL databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL/SQL Server).
• JUnit/Mockito for unit testing.
• Git and CI/CD tools; Docker/Kubernetes and cloud exposure preferred.
