Senior Java Software Engineer - Vice President

Overview

Senior Java Engineer to lead application development for Citi’s XiNG large-scale distributed calculation platform (XiP).

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain the software managing and controlling the XiP platform.
• Develop future versions of the XiP calculation engine to improve speed, resource utilization, and scalability.
• Implement changes and improvements to Citi’s Risk Calculation Engine, optimizing its distribution mechanisms.
• Analyze parallelization strategies to improve efficiency, scalability, and throughput.
• Plan and coordinate strategic initiatives to scale the Risk Calculation Engine to future business demands.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions.

What you'll need

• 11+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
• Solid experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Quarkus.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation (JUnit, Mockito).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
