Principal Staff Software Engineer, Linkedin Learning Solutions

Overview

You’ll help build and ship scalable, AI-first software experiences for LinkedIn Learning Solutions, including systems that connect skills, learning, career growth, and internal mobility.

What you'll do

• Build and ship software across distributed applications.
• Drive architectural decisions using synchronous and asynchronous design patterns.
• Develop scalable, high-volume, reliable user-centric applications operating 24x7.
• Ensure quality via unit testing, code reviews, and regular CI check-ins.
• Lead cross-team discussions to align on product and technology strategy.
• Define quality and efficiency standards balancing impact and cost/operational trade-offs.

What you'll need

• 18+ years of experience in software design/development.
• 18+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Expert knowledge of computer science including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with object-oriented design, coding, and testing patterns.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
