Principle Engineer, Cybersecurity

Overview

Lead cybersecurity design, architecture, and analysis for medical devices, digital platforms, and connected healthcare solutions. Provide technical leadership, security strategy, and mentorship across cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Lead cybersecurity architecture for medical devices, connected systems, digital platforms, and hosted solutions.
• Create and maintain threat models, security requirements, risk assessments, DPIAs, SBOMs, and security evidence.
• Lead threat modeling and security architecture reviews across devices, applications, cloud services, and interconnected systems.
• Guide vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, fuzz testing, secure code analysis, and vulnerability scanning.
• Monitor threat intelligence, CVEs, CWEs, and zero-day vulnerabilities and assess product impact.
• Establish product vulnerability and cybersecurity risk management governance.
• Lead cybersecurity deliverables while mentoring junior engineers and technical teams.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in a listed technical discipline or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development, cybersecurity engineering, product security, or SSDLC activities.
• Strong understanding of application security and secure software development practices.
• Experience with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, secure coding, threat modeling, and security risk assessments.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, fuzz testing, and secure code analysis tools.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to influence technical direction and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical device, connected healthcare, cloud, or hosted application cybersecurity requirements.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO, IEC, UL, FIPS, ICS-CERT, and privacy-by-design frameworks.
• Security certification such as CSSLP, CAP, CISSP, or equivalent.
