Process Lead Engineer

Overview

Process Lead Engineer role in Lam’s Global Products Group focused on process engineering research, development, evaluation, and process improvements for semiconductor equipment and systems.

What you'll do

• Conduct process engineering research, development, and evaluation for semiconductor equipment and systems.
• Review and enhance processing techniques and methods used in product manufacture and fabrication.
• Develop and sustain new processes and process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
• Compile and analyze test data to define next steps, including limits and variables for process specifications.
• Collaborate to plan, collect, analyze data, and report on customer demos for existing process applications.
• Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to process technicians for execution activities.

What you'll need

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics (or related) or a PhD.
• Around 3 years of professional experience (minimum requirement stated for PhD not quantified beyond that).
• Hands-on familiarity working in a laboratory and on semiconductor equipment.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
• High proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar scientific computing languages.
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
