Radio Frequency Quality Engineer

Overview

Radio Frequency Quality Engineer supporting RF products and critical suppliers within Lam Research’s Supplier Engineering & Technology (SET) organization.

What you'll do

• Manage assigned RF power commodity suppliers to meet quality expectations.
• Lead technical investigations across RF generators, matching networks, power delivery systems, and assemblies.
• Run supplier root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, DOE, SPC).
• Analyze RF failures in manufacturing, qualification, and customer environments.
• Conduct onsite/virtual POR audits at suppliers and drive process improvement discussions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, field, reliability, supply chain, and global SET teams.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with minimum 6 years.
• 8+ years in semiconductor equipment system or equivalent component-level problem-solving including analog/digital circuits and control networks.
• Experience in multi-kilowatt high power RF environments from 100kHz to 100MHz.
• Strong RF power systems knowledge (RF generators, match networks, RF delivery path) and transmission line/impedance matching.
• Familiarity with electrical measurement equipment including DMM, LCR, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Working knowledge of SPC, DOE, MSA, 5-Why, T/F tests, box plots, and 8D/Ishikawa diagrams.
