Associate Engineer - Supplier Quality

Overview

Associate Engineer - Supplier Quality to execute supplier qualification, identify quality-system gaps, and drive corrective and continuous improvement actions across Eaton manufacturing sites.

What you'll do

• Follow up, evaluate, and support PPAP approval from external and internal suppliers across Electrical Sector America sites.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve supplier technical and/or system issues for product/process realization with effective closures.
• Analyze supplier issues using statistical and analytical tools for supplier improvement.
• Implement measures to improve CAR/CAPA, process efficiency, and enable on-time closure of actions.
• Troubleshoot closure issues in coordination with global stakeholders.
• Act as a coordinator between suppliers and internal functions/plants to clarify requirements and improve closure lead time and accuracy.

What you'll need

• B.E. in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in supplier development and quality and manufacturing/process engineering.
• Knowledge of problem solving tools and CI tools (Six Sigma, Kaizen & A3).
• Knowledge of APQP and PPAP and Core Tools.
• Working knowledge of supplier change management (process & systems).
• Knowledge of statistical tools including SPC and Gauge R&R.
• Effective communication, presentation, influencing, interpersonal, and accountability skills.
