Procurement & Logistics Specialist

Overview

Procurement & Logistics Specialist supporting the Process Automation business for BA Function Operation Centers and Quality division, based in Bangalore, India. Reports to the Procurement Team Lead.

What you'll do

• Ensure implementation, maintenance and compliance of purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses.
• Execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures.
• Deliver and participate in training programs as required to ensure compliance and foster professional development.
• Manage the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, including Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO), Goods Receipt (GR), Invoice Processing, and Payment follow-up.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of procurement transactions in compliance with company policies and controls.
• Monitor and improve purchasing compliance, invoice accuracy, and payment performance.
• Support supplier onboarding, vendor master maintenance, and supplier issue resolution.
• Analyze procurement and payment data to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Track and resolve blocked invoices, payment delays, and purchase order discrepancies.
• Support audits and maintain documentation in compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams to drive process standardization and operational excellence.
• Generate reports, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor P2P performance.
• Execute sourcing activities as part of strategic sourcing.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Procurement Operations, Shared Services, or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing activities, procurement processes, invoice management, accounts payable, and supplier management.
• Strong understanding of MRP and Production Order lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba (S/4HANA).
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or shared services environment.
