Procurement Practice New Associate

Overview

Procurement Practice New Associate role supporting procurement operations, covering tactical and transactional procurement processes, supplier and catalog maintenance, and procurement application support.

What you'll do

• Go beyond processing purchase orders at lower costs to help clients reap savings and value from the goods and services that run their day-to-day business operations.
• Work as part of a procurement management team that handles identification of need, finding and qualifying suppliers, requesting proposals, negotiating with suppliers, contracting, delivery and analyzing results.
• Analyze and design the best practices for tactical and transactional procurement processes.
• Plan implementation based on detailed understanding of technologies involved and best practice process output measures.
• Provide setup and ongoing maintenance of suppliers, catalog content, user authorization data and procurement applications to provide efficient and effective transactions and help maximize compliance.
• Solve routine problems, largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines.
• Work as an individual contributor within a team with a predetermined, narrow scope of work, under detailed instructions and close supervision.
