Overview
Procurement & Quality Engineer supporting procurement execution and supplier-quality activities for the Indian supply base.
What you'll do
- Support supplier identification, RFQ preparation, quotation comparison, and related clarifications.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding documentation and maintain approved-supplier records.
- Prepare and track purchase orders, monitoring production progress and delivery commitments.
- Monitor supplier capability, production capacity, lead times, and delivery risks; support mitigations.
- Manage supplier quality activities including QA/QC processes, quality plans, and documentation.
- Handle supplier non-conformances with containment, evidence collection, and 8D/CAPA follow-up.
- Coordinate validations and inspections (samples, first-article, test orders) and document/track findings.
What you'll need
- 7–10 years of experience in supplier quality, supplier development, or manufacturing quality.
- Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, material standards, welding processes, and certifications.
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, and control plan methodologies.
- Basic to working knowledge of welding standards such as EN/ISO/AS 1554.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications, and inspection requirements.
- Basic analytical/statistical skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

- Direct/functional reporting to Procurement Manager – India and Sr Manager Supplier Quality (MEA/EAP).
- Location: Raigad, Maharashtra, India (Navi Mumbai, India mentioned in the description).
- Travel: frequently within India and occasionally across the MEA/EAP region.
- Language: good English required; Hindi or Marathi advantageous.
