Product Analyst

Overview

Ethos is seeking a Product Analyst who is investigative, highly analytical, and passionate about process integrity and product quality. The role works cross-functionally to uncover root causes, design remediations, and support initiatives that improve and future-proof Ethos systems.

What you'll do

• Monitor key data and processes to proactively identify, track, and report issues, anomalies, or areas of risk
• Partner with business areas to surface and prioritize concerns, and translate them into clear, actionable findings
• Investigate complex issues independently, digging into large datasets to identify root causes
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to scope, resolve, and validate fixes for identified issues
• Proactively generate exploratory analyses and in-depth research on large data sets to help product teams uncover high-impact opportunities in areas of risk
• Present findings and recommendations to product managers and stakeholders in a way that drives action
• Work cross-functionally to scale insights through improved monitoring and automation
• Help build a data-informed culture by making insights easy to find, understand, and act on
• Analyze results and help translate them into clear takeaways for the team

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or data-driven product management
• Strong skills and comfort working with large datasets
• Experience with a data visualization tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode)
• Working knowledge of basic statistical concepts (e.g., regression, confidence intervals)
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to intuitively connect data points
• Skilled in leveraging data and analytical tools to support decisions and provide actionable insights
• Demonstrated ability to investigate complex issues independently, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to explain data findings to a non-technical audience

Nice to have

• 1+ years of experience with SQL
