Overview
Product Engineer II - Web Services will enable in-app and programmatic customer workflows via web services.
What you'll do
- Work with customers and leadership to identify requirements and translate them into functional user stories.
- Create and maintain performance dashboards to evaluate service usage for product and development priorities.
- Maintain a product backlog of user stories and defects and refine/plan items for development.
- Organize and communicate development and release plans to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering writers and product management to publish best practices (tutorials, blog articles, conference presentations).
- Validate and triage enhancement and defect requests with Support Services.
What you'll need
- 2+ years of experience in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience working with ArcGIS applications such as ArcGIS Map Viewer and/or ArcGIS Scene Viewer or other GIS technology.
- Experience with ArcGIS technologies including Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS API for Python, or ArcGIS REST APIs.
- Experience with web services and APIs, including RESTful services, service contracts, and versioning.
- Advanced communication and storytelling skills to convey complex ideas to different audiences.
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of cloud-native web service architecture, reliability, monitoring, and operational concerns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Information Science, or a related field.

- Compensation: Base salary range $79,664–$133,120 USD (reasonable estimate).
