Job description

Overview

Own the product strategy for playing cloud-streamed games on connected TVs, including the mobile-as-a-controller experience that turns a member's phone into a gamepad for living room play.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute the product roadmap for playing cloud-streamed games on connected TVs, focusing on frictionless, zero-setup experiences for members.
  • Lead development of the Netflix game controller app/feature, defining how a phone becomes a dynamic, intuitive gamepad supporting solo adventures and 8-player party games.
  • Create seamless user flows that let members move from watching Netflix content to playing a related game without leaving the Netflix ecosystem.
  • Partner with cloud gaming engineering and streaming technology teams to optimize latency, input lag and video fidelity, defining the metrics for a successful TV gaming session.
  • Collaborate with Product Designers to optimize the 10-foot UI for game discovery, multiplayer onboarding and in-game overlays on the TV.
  • Act as the central node between Game Studios, Platform Engineering, Mobile App teams and Data Science to deliver complex multi-device features on time and at scale.

What you'll need

  • 5-8+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of shipping complex, consumer-facing software.
  • Direct experience with Connected TV platforms (e.g., Roku, tvOS, Android TV, Smart TVs), cloud gaming platforms, or multi-device ecosystem products.
  • A deep understanding of mobile app product development (iOS/Android) and how to leverage native mobile capabilities (haptics, gyroscopes, touch interfaces) to drive engagement.
  • Technical background or strong understanding of video streaming technologies, real-time networking and cloud computing principles.
  • A history of achieving product outcomes through user testing, rapid prototyping and data-driven decision-making.
  • Passion for the digital gaming space, particularly local multiplayer, social deduction and party game genres.

Details

  • Location: West Coast, with some travel to Los Angeles or Los Gatos, CA as needed.
  • Compensation is an annual salary only, with no bonuses; the range is $310,000.00 - $545,000.00 and varies by location.
