Product Owner Global Transparency Reporting

Overview

Own product delivery for Global Transparency Reporting within the DD&T Corporate Functions portfolio, maximizing value through backlog management, stakeholder alignment, and delivery execution. Ensure accurate, compliant, and consistent global disclosures of payments and transfers of value to Healthcare Professionals, Healthcare Organizations, and Patient Organizations.

What you'll do

• Define and prioritize user stories, enablers, acceptance criteria, and the Team Backlog according to stakeholder needs, Solution Vision, compliance timelines, business value, risk, and time sensitivity.
• Plan and execute delivery through SAFe cadence, including PI Planning and iteration execution.
• Represent customers and business stakeholders in iteration planning, daily team engagement, backlog refinement, system demos, and Inspect & Adapt activities.
• Accept completed stories when the Definition of Done is met and support test strategy for data quality, controls, audit trails, and reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Finance, market teams, architects, engineers, data teams, service providers, and operational stakeholders.
• Support reporting obligations, audits, attestations, and dispute processes where applicable.
• Provide oversight of managed services and software vendors, including demand intake, prioritization, delivery and SLAs, issue escalation, and performance reviews.
• Manage product-area budget inputs, including run-versus-change forecasting, vendor and platform cost tracking, annual planning, and investment trade-offs.
• Support release readiness and production stability by triaging incidents, prioritizing fixes, and incorporating learnings into the backlog.
• Communicate progress, scope, schedule, quality, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs through iteration reviews, demos, and stakeholder touchpoints.
• Collect, monitor, reconcile, and correct Aggregate Spend data from internal and external sources, including financial, expense, and customer engagement systems.
• Extract and reconcile data from systems such as Concur, expense platforms, and customer engagement tools.
• Identify duplicates, outliers, and data errors and perform anomaly detection across high-volume transaction datasets.
• Reconcile payment and other transfer-of-value data into a single authoritative reporting view.
• Monitor adherence to local transparency laws with local Compliance Officers and escalate issues.
• Coordinate with Finance to identify and track spend outside formal engagements, including international events and sponsorships.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to source systems and business data owners.
• Develop and standardize global transparency reporting frameworks and support product expansion to new countries.
• Ensure transparency repositories and customer masters are updated to meet disclosure requirements.
• Contribute to data analytics initiatives using transparency reporting data.
• Translate complex regulatory and business needs into actionable backlog items and bridge regulatory, technical, and business professionals.
• Evaluate and recommend technology platforms and software products for transparency reporting and compliance challenges.
• Train and mentor junior staff and serve as a consultant to management and an external spokesperson on major matters.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, compliance, auditing, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience delivering digital platforms and products across the enterprise.
• Senior-level expertise in global transparency reporting, compliance, or platform management.
• Experience leading engineering or development teams through the full product development lifecycle: analysis, design, development, stabilization, and maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication at C1–C2 level.
• Strong business acumen and enterprise knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail, a structured approach, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with global stakeholders across time zones and cultures.
• Advanced Digital Product Management techniques in complex situations.
• Agile and SCRUM practices.
• Ability to manage and enhance data collection systems and anticipate advanced requirements.
• Ability to execute complex DevOps tasks independently and advise and coach others on DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical skills for data reconciliation and anomaly detection.
• Understanding of healthcare compliance and disclosure regulations governing HCP, HCO, and PO transfer-of-value reporting.
• Ability to extract and reconcile data from multiple internal and external systems.
• Ability to work in a compliance-driven environment with strict confidentiality requirements.
• Experience in customer service, project management, audit, or systems development lifecycle.
• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional units at local, regional, and global levels.
• Ability to translate compliance and regulatory language into technical language.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of MedPro Compliance Reporting ID for the US.
• Knowledge of Cresen Solutions SpendMate for Global Transparency Reporting.
