Job description

Overview

Join the Engineering team in Bangalore as a Product Reliability Engineer, contributing to the design, development, reliability testing, sustaining engineering, and documentation of advanced products. The role reports to the Bangalore Engineering Manager.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate, from a reliability standpoint, the materials, properties and techniques used in production.
  • Advise design engineering on the selection, application and testing of electronic components and systems.
  • Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
  • Determine reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer and any governmental agency reliability objectives.
  • Develop new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product reliability.
  • Make recommendations for changes in the selection and application of components and systems.
  • Propose changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of related experience.

Details

  • Location: Bangalore, India.
  • Work is performed in office and engineering laboratory environments.
  • Sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
  • Use laboratory equipment and occasionally lift and move electronic equipment or test fixtures up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly use electronic test equipment and prototype hardware for product development, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
