Overview
The Product Security Architect - AI & IoT integrates cybersecurity into artificial intelligence, machine learning, embedded systems, edge computing and Internet of Things technologies. The role develops and improves secure architectures for connected products, embedded software, AI-enabled capabilities, intelligent devices and cloud-connected platforms.
What you'll do
- Assess security risks associated with machine learning models, LLMs, AI agents and AI-enabled applications.
- Lead complex AI threat modeling, design reviews and security architecture assessments for products, projects and customer deployments.
- Develop guidance for adversarial AI, prompt injection, data poisoning and model integrity risks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define security architecture requirements for AI, embedded, edge and IoT solutions.
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert and primary security consultant for AI innovation and disruption to deep tech within the company.
- Mentor engineers and security practitioners and contribute reusable architecture guidance, patterns and lessons learned.
- Define security requirements for embedded systems, firmware, gateways, sensors and connected devices where AI and IoT converge.
- Provide expert technical support to customers, auditors and regulators on AI security empowerment and compliance efficacy.
- Make security architecture decisions and recommendations that materially affect assigned products, projects and customer deployments.
- Integrate secure development practices and secure SDLC mechanisms into AI modernization.
- Enable security excellence with LLM and Generative AI security.
- Advocate AI governance and risk management continuously.
- Prioritize security features into upcoming product releases for hardware and software and support patent development.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 8+ years of product security, security architecture or embedded systems security experience.
- Experience securing cloud-connected products, AI-enabled platforms, IoT devices and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, OWASP IoT Top 10, OWASP LLM Top 10, NIST AI RMF, NIST SSDF and secure development practices.
- Threat Modeling using STRIDE/DREAD and Security Architecture Reviews using OWASP based approaches.
Nice to have
- ISA/IEC 62443 Expert, GIAC GRID, GIAC GICSP, CISSP or SABSA Security Architecture Certification.
- Master's degree in Computer Science with specialization in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
- Experience assessing RAG and MCP advanced threat risks and translating them into practical architecture requirements.
- Advanced Python coding skills or exploit engineering with machine learning.
